Don't worry! We've tested out buying china on e-Bay and most sellers are very reputable- just look for sellers that give actual photos of what they are selling, and specify clearly if there are or aren't any chips/ cracks/ etc (we don't mind a few flaws- we're full of them ourselves). There are several items we are looking for that aren't on any store registry as being available (serving pieces), so we are making our own china/ silver registry here (the crystal is a newer pattern is more easily available at a store). Just remember- don't bid more for an item than you would pay at the store if it were brand-new!! Replacements, Ltd is also another very reputable, great site.
