Midnight in Changsha, and all the sudden all the lights in our room came on by themselves, then everything turned off... the computer is on battery (in the 24 hour power switch- I forgot to describe earlier that to keep lights on in the room you have to have your room key in a little slot on the wall- which we have right now- so it's significant that the computer power is off)... Just stepped out into the hall and all is dark except the little blue light on the wall near the floor that say "Exit..."
There are 42 floors in the hotel... not sure if we are all off or what... Hmm...!
[EDIT: 12:16am, the power just cam back on- I could hear people running up and down stairs in the hallway, so they were doing something to get it fixed... maybe we'll find out in the morning- back to bed!!!!!]

P.S. Iona *still* hasn't dropped that child...oh, and Maurice knows it's a girl - apparently one of Iona's sorority sisters slipped about a month ago. Doh!
